IT Engineering Student · Full-Stack & Infrastructure

I build and maintain full-stack features and backend services that real clients run in production, along with the Linux infrastructure they run on.

  1. your browser you are here
  2. cloudflared no open ports
  3. nginx:alpine read-only container
  4. ubuntie Ubuntu Server, Mérida
That is the route this page took to reach you. It runs on the homelab I administer, with no CDN, no trackers and no third-party requests.

Experience

Full-Stack Software Developer, freelance

A catering company. I own the platform their staffing and event planning runs on.

  • Build and maintain a staffing platform with an admin panel and event planning, on a LAMP stack.
  • Designed the notification service in PHP: schedules are precalculated, deliveries fan out per staff tier, and batches are claimed atomically so nobody gets messaged twice. Notices go out over Telegram and SMS.
  • Built dynamic geospatial pricing with GeoJSON and Turf.js, so service rates follow the delivery zone.
  • Set up deployment on GitHub Actions, then tracked down why releases were failing and fixed it by trimming dependencies and simplifying the transfer step.

Systems Administration Assistant

  • Deployed Snipe-IT on an on-premise Apache and MySQL server and published it on the LAN, giving the school one place to track its audiovisual equipment.
  • Configured static addressing and NetSupport so the computer labs could be administered remotely from one console.
  • Brought up a new lab for the Multimedia Design program, from unboxing the hardware to handing it over in use.

Software Developer, freelance

  • Integrated the Wompi payments API into a Colombian ticketing site, implementing the checkout flow and validating provider responses server-side.

Projects

Self-Hosted Homelab

Arch Linux Ubuntu Server Docker

  • An Ubuntu Server box running a stack of containerized services, several of them reachable from the internet. It is where my projects actually live in production, including the notification service behind the Ortiz platform.
  • This page is served from it. The hero above is its request path, not an illustration.

Tetris Clones

Java JavaScript

  • Two independent takes on the same game: a Java desktop client written for an object-oriented programming course, and a browser version in plain JavaScript.

Java-Tetris javascript-tetris

Leadership

Linux Users Club

  • Co-founded the club and run its "Linux 101" sessions, writing the teaching material and slides from scratch.
  • The point is to make free software approachable: students learn it by using it, with other students.

Education

B.S. in Information Technology Engineering

  • Took first place in the robotics category of the Liga Internacional de Talento 2025, which came with a 70% academic scholarship.
